Family Medicine Speciality:
It is an integrated and comprehensive preventive treatment specialty. In it the family doctor is continuously responsible for primary health care for individuals of both sexes and for all ages within the framework of the family and society, taking into account the social, physiological, economic, cultural and vital dimensions of society.
Department tasks:
- Providing health services at the level of primary health care for the family and the community
- Follow up the health of the individual and the family in terms of health and disease
- Transferring the patient to the higher level of health care when necessary and following up on him when he returns.
- Preparing the health cadres required for this specialty.
- Cooperating with the various departments of the college to raise the level of health, educational and research services.
- Cooperating with health-related authorities and community institutions that interact and influence health.
- Providing a screening service for suspected cases of the emerging corona virus and providing critical health care to university workers.
- Providing a follow-up service for cases after infection with the emerging corona virus.
- Providing early screening service for breast cancer through the Women’s Health Campaign.
